IN THE STYLE OF DALÍ

The third graders were working on Spanish surrealism in our eTwinning project:

ART DOESN'T KNOW BORDERS. 

They chose these paintings by Dalí because they found the idea of very heavy elephants with such thin legs very inspiring. This is one of the originals we observed:

Step 1: Draw the elephants following oral instructions and trace the lines with markers.

Step 2: Take a wet brush and go over the lines, so the water turns into watercolour.

Step 3: Colour the background with wax crayons and draw shadows of the elephant's legs.

Step 4:  Cut a piece of paper and paste it on the elephant.

The third graders worked on Surrealism. We chose the Belgian artist Magritte because we liked his painting The False Mirror. This is the original:

We liked to imagine what we wanted to see to feel happy: the bottom of the sea, the forest, the universe, the beach, the mountains, the park...

We drew two circles with a CD: one big and one small.

And we drew and coloured inside:

We prepared a display and shared our work in the Twinspace.

DINOSAURS

The third graders know a lot about dinosaurs. They worked in groups of three and made these amazing posters as a round up activity for unit 4:

DIA DE LA PAZ

Hace unos días celebramos en el cole el DÍA DE LA PAZ. A lo largo de la semana, cada nivel realizó diversas actividades relacionadas con el tema que culminaron, el viernes 27 por la tarde, con una pequeña celebración conjunta. Las 9 aulas de infantil nos reunimos en el hall para hablar de la paz y cantar las unas canciones en inglés que habíamos preparado. ¡ Aquí os dejamos el enlace de una de las canciones para que podáis disfrutarla también en casa!
