GINGERBREAD MAN CRAFT

 Christmas time is a period full of magic for all school communities and ours starts with family decoration everywhere! And we love it. 

As well, no need to say that we feel it smells like cookies. Therefore, GingerBread Man could not be out of our classes and he came to visit our 4 year old children to soon be hanging in every Christmas Tree! 

"We Wish You a Merry Christmas" has been our favourite Christmas song. Don't doubt to sing along with them. 

We wish you enjoy this time of the year together. 

GOLDILOCKS AND THE THREE BEARS

Primary 1 pupils have been doing lots of Drama activities on the story Goldilocks and the 3 bears related to the themes we have been working on this term: home and family.

One of these has been "Freeze Frames" creating "photographs" to represent the different parts of the story.

These weeks we've been getting to know Kandinsky. 

We have been looking at different abstract works of his, what do colours represent and the relationship between colours and music. 

As we are in autumn we have taken advantage and made "The Tree of Life" with its characteristic concentric circles.

The youngest children shared Halloween songs with the Primary 6 children in a super fun morning.

5th grade students have enjoyed Halloween escaping from the room they were locked in after solving different puzzles and finding the door key under a desk. They loved the scary "escape-room"!! 

 YEAR 6

 6th grade students did a great job escaping from the haunted class. After solving different puzzles and working all together, they were able to escape from the haunted class.

Estas semanas la clase de 4 años A es una clase gatuna porque está investigando sobre los gatos. Así, hemos recibido una vídeo-carta con muchos gatos de otros países que nos han saludado en diferentes idiomas:

Nos hemos animado a practicar cómo decir hola en francés, alemán, portugués, inglés... y descubrir que hay numerosas lenguas para comunicarnos. Finalmente, hemos conversado sobre las familias que tenemos o conocemos en países europeos o de otros lugares, para terminar conociendo los colores de sus banderas a través de la técnica del abolillado.

OUR 5 YEAR OLD SUPERHEROES CELEBRATED EARTH DAY COLOURING A PICTURE MADE ON THEY HAND-MADE RECYCLED PAPER. THIS MONTH, THEY HAVE BEEN LEARNING ABOUT THE 3 Rs (REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE) FOR THE 6th CHALLENGE.

This term, the children of 1º de infantil made some activities about this beautiful storybook by David McKee. 

A role-play of the story, activities and songs about jungle animals and a collaborative colour-by-number picture of Elmer using a big green dice.

 THIS IS OUR WORK ABOUT FEAR

We worked with two storybooks and talked about thinks that scare them. They drew things that scared them most.

The children of 3º de Infantil got the 5th piece of the key because they made recycled paper at school. They are very proud of having made something useful from old photocopies!

They are closer to save the planet. There's only 1 more challenge!
